It is a mechanical cold impact treatment of the surface of metallic components or structures.<\/p>\n<p>Surface treatment applications include <a href=\"https:\/\/sonats-et.com\/en\/shot-peening\/what-is-shot-peening\/\">shot peening<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sonats-et.com\/en\/peen-forming\/shot-peen-forming\/\">ultrasonic needle peening or peen forming<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/sonats-et.com\/en\/hfmi-treatment\/ultrasonic-impact-treatment\/\">weld impact treatment<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=&#8221;yes&#8221; content_placement=&#8221;middle&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>THE STRESSONIC\u00ae PRINCIPLE<\/h3>\n<p>The STRESSONIC\u00ae generator digitally creates an ultrasonic range frequency (20 kHz) sine wave.<\/p>\n<p>A piezoelectric transmitter converts this wave into a low amplitude mechanical wave.
