The Shot-Peening Bench : Semi-portable equipment<\/h2>\n

The semi-portable bench is a shot peen equipment, ideal for a production or repair workshop with small and medium-sized production runs. It is also used by research laboratories wishing to produce a small quantity of samples.<\/p>\n

Connected to a USP STRESSVOYAGER\u00ae, <\/b>the process remains automatic. In fact, our semi-portable equipment is directly integrated into a shot-blasting bench.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

A STANTARD OF TAILOR-MADE EQUIPMENT<\/h3>\n

This shot peen equipment can be sized to suit your requirements, depending on the size and weight of your parts.<\/p>\n

As standard, we provide a bench measuring approximately 1100 x 1500 x 1000 mm.<\/p>\n

A heigh-ajustable and tiltable acoustic unit is positioned in the center of the bench.<\/p>\n

By means of plates mounted on linear axis that can be moved manually, it is possible to precisely adjust the different tools required according to the geometry of the different parts.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″]

AN INTERMEDIATE SOLUTION TO AUTOMATED MACHINE<\/h3>\n

Once the tooling has been placed, shot peening operations can be realized with a high degree of repeatability without any handling of the operator, apart from loading\/ unloading the part.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a cost-effective equipment that represents an intermediate solution between portable equipment and a stationary automated machine.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, automation is still possible with specific systems (i.e : rotation of the workpiece using motorization…)<\/p>\n

        Example of application for the semi-mobil shot peening bench<\/h2>\n

These blades, subjected to heavy mechanical and thermal stress, become dull and break after a certain period of use.<\/p>\n

        For the circular blades they use, we applied a sequence of operations including ultrasonic shot peening and machining. This enabled us to delay the onset of cracks and thus triple the service life of these blades.<\/p>\n
