THE STRESSONIC® PROCESS

The STRESSONIC® peen forming process is an innovative, high-performance technology providing an alternative solution to the hammer peening or pneumatic hammer. It is a mechanical impact treatment projecting needles (also called impactors) onto the surface of metal part.

PEEN FORMING OR NEEDLE PEENING

The peen forming (or even ultrasonic needle straightening) operation changes the geometry of a metal piece to progressively reach the desired shape. It is a reliable and proven alternative to a hammer peening or pneumatic hammer, with much less impact on operator health.

PORTABLE SOLUTIONS

SONATS has developed a portable peen forming or needle peening equipment called STRESSVOYAGER®. This compact and lightweight device is ideal for improving productivity in your factories, allowing to straighten or mechanically form, directly on the jig.
