Ultrasonic impact treatment for railway infrastructure

Strict safety regulations require continuous maintenance on existing rail infrastructure. The mechanical fatigue of thermite welds is often the result of the cyclic alternating movement of rails and rolling stock. The components of the train structure are also subjected to mechanical fatigue.

The STRESSONIC® process available in two portable devices, STRESSVOYAGER® and NOMAD, can effectively improve the life of mechanically welded components while reducing the cost of maintenance and repair work via HFMI/IUT treatment.
