The STRESSONIC® process offers an alternative to conventional shot peening : ultrasonic shot peening. Shot peening is ultrasonically activated and increases the fatigue strength and corrosion resistance of metal parts under high tensile stress.

SONATS technicians and engineers make a complete study of the characteristics of both the part and the variables of the shot peening treatment, to determine the most appropriate solution depending on the customer objectives and requirements.

To apply the shot peening treatment, SONATS has developed different equipment:

• portable ultrasonic shot peening machine – STRESSVOYAGER® USP
• semi-mobile equipment – bench connected to a STRESSVOYAGER® USP
• automated shot peening machines

SONATS also offers ultrasonic shot peening services in its subcontracting workshop in Carquefou (44), for offloading or series production.
